Welcome to the Hungaroring, situated in the rolling hills of Mogyoród, Pest County, just outside Budapest, Hungary, and home of the Hungarian Grand Prix.
This circuit is often likened to a full-sized karting track with a street circuit, which makes it an exhilarating challenge for drivers.
The track's demanding nature, combined with typically hot summer conditions, is a test of endurance and understanding, especially as the infrequently used circuit gets grippier as the weekend goes by.
Circuit Overview:
The Hungaroring stretches over 4.381 km (2.722 miles) with 14 slow to medium-speed corners that offer very few overtaking opportunities, emphasising the importance of Qualifying.
Sector 1 has the best chances to pass, with the braking zone into Turn 1 and the long left-hand Turn 3 the places to try a move.
Single-file turns and a slow-speed chicane occupies Sector 2, with Sector 3's three corners best suiting those with a high-downforce setup before unleashing down the pit straight.

Hungarian GP 🇭🇺
A tricky race, but some good battles throughout.

PIT to ALEX
Chequered flag, P15. Looked quite difficult out there at times. The hard tyre towards the end, pace picked up, managed to get some temp back in it after the blue flags. Well done, looked difficult. JAMES to ALEX: Well done, Alex. Tough day today. We've got some really good races coming for us after the August break. We'll sit down and figure out why these tracks were not good enough, but thank you for everything today. Thank you for this first half of the season. Well done. ALEX to JAMES: Yes, thank you James. Thanks, everyone. A tough start to the summer break, but I'm sure we can have good results – we'll figure it out.

PIT to CARLOS
And that's P14. Gasly misjudged that quite a bit. It would have been a recovery to P13. We tried the one stop, it didn't work. There was potential for a point but it didn't make it. I think that was good to try. Good race, good battles out there. JAMES to CARLOS: Strong drive today, Carlos. Well done. I think the was one position more ahead of you, but you did a good job. Ultimately, we need to go into the break, reset, and we'll come back at races that we're going to be much, much stronger at. Thank you for this first half of the season. CARLOS to PIT: Thank you, James. Ultimately we just lack pace at these circuits. Did they do something for Gasly? PIT to CARLOS: He got a 10-second penalty.
