The 2025 Miami Grand Prix was packed with strategy curveballs, but the pre-race predictions of a one stop stood firm as the threat of rain avoided the track.
As ever, the Pit Wall Predictions, presented by Gulf, players had their say – but did anyone really see three VSCs coming?

Q1 & Q2: When will Alex and Carlos make their first stops?

Both drivers kept things steady in the Florida heat, boxing in the Lap 21–30 window. Carlos stopped on Lap 25, Alex on Lap 26 – a clean sweep for the 21–30 bracket. The Strategist missed both, having said they’d come in during the Lap 11–20 window.

Q3: What will our longest tyre stint be?

Having stopped one lap earlier, Carlos took his set of Hards all the way to the line – 32 laps to be precise. That put the correct answer in the 31+ laps category, and 35% of fans were on the money, as was The Strategist.

Q4: Where will our first stop be made from?

Carlos was running P7 when he peeled in, bang in the P6–P10 bracket. A whopping 82% of you got this one spot on. The Strategist? Correct again.

Q5 & Q6: What will the gap to the car ahead be when our first stops are made?

Alex trailed Russell by 1.2s at the time of his stop, good for the 0.1-2.5 secs option (30% correct). Carlos had a 4.1s buffer to Alex when he boxed (47% correct), landing in the 2.6-5.0 secs range. The Strategist was right for Alex, but, but missed Carlos by a bracket.

Q7: How many VSC periods will there be?

Here’s where it got spicy. Three VSCs shook up the rhythm of the race and only 1% of players saw that coming. The Strategist had called zero pre-race. Ouch.

Q8: How many full Safety Car periods will there be?

Despite the VSC mayhem, there wasn’t a full Safety Car to be seen. 23% of fans backed a clean race in that regard, but The Strategist was wide of the mark with their shout of one deployment.
The Strategist’s Score: 3/8 – 15 Points
Not a disastrous round, but not one for the highlight reel either. The Strategist finishes with the most common score of Round 6. One sharp-eyed player nailed 7/8 on their predictions to take this week's top score, congratulations!
