Q1: On which lap will Alex make his first stop?
Lap 11-20. It’s looking like a two-stop race is the quickest way to the finish line, however, the threat of rain poses a tough challenge for me this week as running the intermediates in a wet race would likely mean a one-stopper.
And that’s not even taking into consideration that the track could dry and we opt for slick tyres! I’m going for a stop between lap 11-20.
Q2: On which lap will Logan make his first stop?
Lap 21-30. If the rain does continue and we opt for a one-stop, I think this is the window we’ll pit in.
Q3: When the first Williams Racing driver pits, what position will they pit from?
P11-15. I think we’ll be battling for points once again when we make our first stop.
Q4: How many pit stops will our drivers make between them?
A two-stop race would suggest four stops, however with the changing weather there is every chance we could box again. I’m going for 5+ stops.
Q5: How many full Safety Car periods will there be?
One. Again, the threat of rain means chaos could unfold during the Grand Prix, especially as it’s a Sprint weekend.
I think we’ll see the Safety Car again.
Q6: Which tyre will Alex end his race on?
There’s a 24% chance of rain towards the end of the race, which suggests it’s more likely the track will be dry. With this in mind, I’m going for the hard compound.
Q7: Which tyre will Logan end his race on?
On the off chance that the rain is falling in Austria, I’ve split my strategy and have predicted Logan to be on the inters at the end of the race.
Q8: What position will the leading Williams Racing driver finish the race in?
P6-10. Am I expecting Alex or Logan to pull off the heroics of Canada again? Not particularly.
Do I think we can achieve points again? Absolutely.
This is another track that suits the characteristics of the FW45 and with the chance of a chaotic rainy race, I think points are certainly on the table for us this weekend.
