After a rain-affected epic in Zandvoort, The Strategist is looking forward to our final European stop of the 2023 F1 season.
They sit in P154 on our leaderboard with 200 points to their name, and after that chaotic weekend in the Netherlands, our Grove guru is hoping for a more predictable weekend in northern Italy.
So, what of their Pit Wall Predictions, presented by Gulf? Read on to see what they think, before making your own calls at the bottom of the page.

Q1: On which lap will Alex make his first stop?

Lap 11-20. I reckon a two-stop race will be the quickest strategy across the 53 laps, and I back Alex to punch in some rapid early laps before pitting before lap 20. This is his first Italian GP with Williams, so expect him to be revved up!

Q2: On which lap will Logan make his first stop?

Lap 11-20. We’ve seen our two drivers follow fairly similar strategies over the last few races and I don’t expect things to change in Monza. Logan will pit within a couple of laps of Alex, I reckon.

Q3: Which Williams Racing driver will pit first?

Alex. Although he did a brilliant opening stint, staying out on dry tyres in Zandvoort last weekend, he is normally the man to box first.

Q4: How many pit stops will our drivers make between them?

Three. That’s the number we hit here last year, and barring any inclement weather or multiple safety car incidents, I reckon it’s a safe bet for 2023 too.

Q5: Which tyre will Alex end his race on?

Hard. We know how much Alex likes to make a tyre last, and with the ATA format in place this weekend, there’s every chance that the hards will need to be relied upon come the race.

Q6: Which tyre will Logan end his race on?

Hard, the same as Alex and for many of the same reasons. A lot of this depends on how the sessions on Friday and Saturday go for our two drivers, so make sure you keep an eye on them and return to williamsf1.com to update your predictions!

Q7: How many Virtual Safety Car periods will there be?

One. There was one last year, and providing the race is dry and there aren’t any high impacts that break up the barriers, I reckon it’ll be a similar story on Sunday.

Q8: How many full Safety Car periods will there be?

None. As above, a clean, dry race will only lend itself to uninterrupted running. After the chaos of Zandvoort, I’m backing the safety car to stay in the pit lane this weekend!
You’ve heard from The Strategist, now it’s time to make your decisions below. You have until the lights go out on Sunday to make any changes, good luck!
