The F1 Drivers’ Parade has really levelled up in 2025. After the Lego cars in Miami, we were treated to yet more chaos at the 2025 São Paulo Grand Prix.
Lined up on the grid two hours before lights out were 12 soapboxes – one for each team, plus two special editions for home favourite Gabriel Bortoleto and the Safety Car crew.
The madness for our duo began even before they hopped into their machines. Alex, taking a quick glance at the chariots that awaited them, bolted down the steps to try and secure the driver's seat. After all, Carlos had taken the wheel back in Miami, and this was an opportunity our Thai racer didn’t want to miss out on.
Despite Carlos’ best efforts, including a shirt pull that would almost certainly have seen him booked on a football pitch, Alex made the lunge and secured the keys ahead of this very special lap.
While Carlos was trying to get comfortable in the space that was left for him, Alex hit the accelerator for a formation lap around the rest of the grid as he waited for the call to go.
This left them boxed in by the Sauber of Nico Hulkenberg and ultimately missing the start, but Carbono had a plan that would quickly see them make up the lost ground.
A near race-ending moment as Alex manages to box himself in... pre-race.
The first turn at Interlagos is one of the most famous on the calendar, but in a soapbox, there is no such thing as track limits – across the run-off they went, completely cutting the Senna Esses.
However, this would only be a minor infringement compared to what they had in store for the middle sector… well, to be honest they skipped the entire sector!
Carlos spotted a support road shortly before Turn 6, and our pair managed to utilise the abandoned original Interlagos layout to rejoin at Turn 12 – six corners shaved off in an instant.

From the back of the pack to P3 at the chequered flag – Carbono never ceases to amaze. You can hear from both Carlos and Alex above as they debriefed the Drivers’ Parade carnage in our Race Bay talk at Grove earlier this week.
