Strategy helped Carlos Sainz to another point-scoring Sunday as Atlassian Williams Racing advanced up the order in Singapore.
Were you as strategically savvy as our pit wall? Eight more questions in
Pit Wall Predictions, presented by Gulf, were asked before lights out. Here's how the players – and The Strategist – fared on the streets of Singapore:
Q1 & Q2: On which lap will Alex/Carlos make his first stop?
The team decided to put both drivers on extremely long stints that allowed our duo to overcut those who stopped earlier in the race.
Alex made it to Lap 42 before switching from his Mediums, while Carlos was the final driver to visit the pit lane, stopping on Lap 50.
This was not an expected strategy for many players, with just 2.6% of you thinking Alex would go so long, and 4% believing Carlos would go over 31 laps.
No points for The Strategist, either, who thought we'd see the FW47s pitting between Laps 11 and 20.
Q3: Which Atlassian Williams Racing driver will pit first?
Alex was the first to stop for fresh tyres, and this 50-50 question had 61% favouring Albono, including The Strategist.
Q4: When the first Atlassian Williams Racing driver pits, what position will they pit from?
Albono's pit stop came as he and Carlos advanced from the back of the grid and into the midfield fight, placing him firmly in the P11-P15 bracket.
Some 40.5% called this one, and so did The Strategist, who picks up five more points.

Q5: How many pit stops will our drivers make between them?
A one-stop strategy is what we usually see in Singapore, and 2025 was no different. That wasn't a surprise for The Strategist or 55% of players who scored here.
Q6: How many full Safety Car periods will there be?
History suggested Singapore is a guaranteed Safety Car race, but we've now had consecutive years without a slowdown.
This question wrong-footed 91% of players and The Strategist.
Q7 & Q8: At the end of the race, how close will the gap between Alex/Carlos and the car ahead be?
The aggressive pit stop strategy ended up with Alex closely chasing down Lance Stroll for P13, while Carlos streaked ahead of Isack Hadjar into clean air.
That meant points if you chose 0.1-2.5s for Alex, like The Strategist predicted. Around 30% of you did, but only 3% thought Carlos would have a gap of over 7.5s, and The Strategist didn't.
The Strategist’s Score: 4/8 – 20 Points
Half-points for the Grove guru this time with four predictions coming true. That result puts them into the top 10% of players from Singapore in a low-scoring round (2/8 was the most common score).
There was a single player who took the Pit Wall Perfection badge, which is even more impressive considering no one got 7/8 right, and only 10 players of the thousands who play managed to score 6/8.
