Find out your Pit Wall Predictions results for the Chinese Grand Prix and discover how ‘The Strategist’ fared

Pit Wall Predictions, presented by Gulf, saw a high-scoring fifth round of the 2024 season, as many fans correctly called the outcomes of eight questions ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix.
No one was quite able to secure a Pit Wall Perfection, but a solid total of eleven players did pick up 35 out of a possible 40 points.

Q1) On which lap will Alex make his first stop?

Alex’s first stop came at the end of Lap 9, putting him within the first option of Lap 1-10. This was good news for just 7% of fans who called this correctly.
The Strategist did not nail this call, so dropped points on Question 1.

Q2) On which lap will Logan make his first stop?

Logan pulled in on Lap 12, just sneaking him into the second option of Lap 11-20.
67% of players saw this coming, including The Strategist who picked up their first five points of the round.

Q3) Which Williams Racing driver will pit first?

Albono made our first stop of Round 5, something that 49% of PWP players picked. One member of the winning minority on Q3 was our Grove Guru.

Q4) When the first Williams Racing driver pits, what position will they pit from?

Alex was P14 when he entered the pit lane, placing him within the third option bracket of P11-P15.
66% of players thought our first stop would be made from within this race, and The Strategist was one of them.

Q5) How many pit stops will our drivers make between them?

We notched up four stops during the Chinese Grand Prix, one more than our 2019 total.
The two-stopper for our duo was suggested by The Strategist, and 36% of you followed their lead.

Q6) How many full Safety Car periods will there be?

There were two full Safety Car periods during the 2024 Chinese Grand Prix, one to allow for the recovery of Valtteri Bottas’ stranded Kick Sauber, and the other following a fairly chaotic restart.
14% of PWP players called this right, but The Strategist was not one of them.

Q7) Which tyre will Alex end his race on?

After two medium tyre stints, Alex ended the race on the hard tyre.
28% of our players picked up five points here, as did The Strategist.

Q8) Which tyre will Logan end his race on?

Logan started on the softs from the pit lane, ran mediums in the second stint and wrapped up the race on hards, which earned 31% of players points, and The Strategist was once again one of them.
The Strategist’s Score: 6/8 – Our resident guru has continued their strong start to the campaign and will be looking to build on this momentum heading into Miami. They find themselves tied with five other players in P2 on 105 points.
