We’re poring over the data after Friday Practice at the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix – a day that featured two full hours of uninterrupted running.
The summer shutdown might be just around the corner, but there’s no easing up just yet. Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon were straight out on track as the green light signalled the start of FP1.
Our Thai racer completed 28 laps in the opening hour, setting a best time of 1:16.984 to place P11, while Carlos clocked a 1:17.195 to finish the session in P15.
In FP2, just 1.5 seconds covered the entire field. Both Atlassian Williams Racing cars were among the first to begin their Quali simulations, with Carlos finishing P16 on a 1:16.874 and Alex in P18 with a 1:17.020.

"We had a few issues today but, ultimately, we don’t seem to have the performance we want this weekend," Carlos reflected.
"We did expect this track to be challenging for us, and we’ve tried to find areas of performance all day with different set-ups.
"We’ll take all the learnings from today, make some changes overnight and give our best shot tomorrow at the top ten in Qualifying."
"Today has been okay," Alex explained. :Our FP1 pace was strong. We didn't do a second push, but we were looking top five pace in that session on a track that doesn't normally suit us.
"We've made some set-up changes to the car this weekend that feel good. We maybe went in the wrong direction for FP2, so we need to look at that.
"We knew this was going to be a tricky track for us but that allows us an opportunity to explore set-up and we have some good ideas now."
