Signing out the SRO Esports 2023 season with three Champion titles to our name and one more race to go for a fourth!

Williams have competed across multiple regions of the globe this year with over 10+ drivers in five different SRO GT series: • Intercontinental GT Challenge – Champions | P4 • GT World Challenge America – Champions | Vice-Champions • GT World Challenge Europe – Silver Class Champions, P3 Pro Class | P6 Pro Class • GT World Challenge Asia - P5 Pro Class • GT World Challenge Sim-Pro - Currently P3, P5
The team have been in control of the 2023 SRO Esports campaign, scoring a positive number of wins, podiums and pole positions, as well as setting new records throughout their five individual round championships - putting us on the rosters as 'the ones to watch'.
Our Intercontinental GTC Mercedes-AMG Williams team had most recently taken the win at the Indianapolis 8H to secure their crown, after four consistent rounds of podiums and high points positions, including a P3 in the round before at Suzuka 10H. Not far behind were the Williams Esports Audi Trio, who also took the win at the Suzuka 10H and finished P4 at the Indy 8H to take fourth overall in the standings.
Igor Rodrigues piloted his Audi to a dominant title with 4 wins in a row out of 5 races, becoming the first to do so and setting the fastest lap record at Silverstone on Assetto Corsa Competizione. Fellow Brazilian teammate - Fidel Moreira, kept close behind the Champion all season in his podium-sat Porsche, making it a 1-2 for Williams Esports in the America Standings as he took Vice-Champion.
GTWC Europe saw our team finish as Silver Class Champs with multi-race winner: Vojtech Fiala, P3 in Pro Class with title contender: Dominik Blajer - after a competitive chase to the final round, and Tinko van der Velde completing a P6 end to the Season.
Japanese lone wolf Sota Muto toured the GTWC Asia Sprint Series calendar as a regular point scorer and two-time podium sitter with a P3 at Round 1 - Imola and Round 5 - Suzuka in his Williams Esports Mercedes-AMG GT3, displaying his strong racing ability and consistency.
Going into the final race of the Sim-Pro LAN, trackside at the Barcelona circuit on September 30th, we line up P3 in the standings with Dominik Blajer in the Williams Esports car, and P5 with the Spa winning Mercedes-AMG Williams team of Dáire McCormack and Dennis Schöniger right behind by 1 point. Both will be focused on claiming the Champion status as they contend for the title against eight other cars, just a few points between each other - and take a fourth crown for us to close off the SRO Season right. It is all up for grabs in Spain!
Overall, a short but sweet season has been a successful one for the team. All our drivers and engineers have worked brilliantly to produce strong results for the team and our partners in SRO Esports. We'll be looking forward to the Sim-Pro LAN in less than two weeks, and to go again even better in 2024 with more trophies to the tally!
