Logan’s car will not run in the F1 Sprint this afternoon despite the best efforts of the team.

After receiving the FW45 back following the shootout, we worked flat-out on the car but there is not enough time to complete the repair. Subsequently, we have withdrawn Logan from the Sprint.

Gutted for Logan who has shown great pace with two Q2 appearances this weekend.

Logan’s career in motorsport began on the karting track, where he competed from the age of eight. He quickly demonstrated his talent, winning the Karting Federation Junior championship in 2015, becoming the first American to win an FIA karting championship since 1978.

In 2016, Logan competed in the Formula 4 UAE Championship, securing second place overall by taking 15 podiums. The following year, he joined Carlin Racing to compete in the F4 British Championship, finishing third, scoring two wins and 10 podiums along the way.

In 2018, Logan took on the Formula Renault Eurocup with R-ace GP, recording three wins and seven podiums to secure him fourth place in the championship.
He returned to Carlin in 2019 for his rookie season of the FIA Formula 3 Championship. He also made his Macau Grand Prix debut, finishing on the podium at the iconic event.

For 2020, Logan remained in FIA F3, taking his debut victory in the Feature Race at Silverstone, moving him into the lead of the notoriously competitive championship. He secured his second win at the infamously challenging Spa-Francorchamps, winning the Sprint Race from third on the grid. Logan finished the year third overall, only missing out on the Championship title by four points.

In 2021, Logan joined Charouz Racing System, returning to FIA Formula 3 for a third season. He finished seventh in the Championship standings, securing one victory at Russia’s Sochi Autodrom. 2021 also marked Logan’s first outing in Formula One machinery, as he took to wheel of the Williams Racing FW43B in post-season testing at Yas Marina Circuit, successfully completing 92 laps in the car.

In 2022, Logan competed in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, returning to Carlin for the highly competitive championship, whilst representing Williams Racing as an Academy Driver. Logan's stand- out season with 2 wins and 4 podiums, earnt him 4th position overall in the championship, whilst securing his racing super licence and taking his Formula 1 seat beside Alex Albon for the 2023 Formula 1 season.

Logan's rookie Formula 1 season in 2023 saw the American driver finish 21st in the Drivers’ Championship. He scored his first point in Formula 1 on home turf at the United States Grand Prix becoming the first American driver to score points in 30 years. 

On the 1st of December 2023, Williams Racing announced that Logan will be staying with the team for the 2024 season.
