Creating the Collection - Great Britain

Thank you for picking up the 2024 Williams Racing Great Britain Collection Cap!
We are thrilled to be back at the “Home of British Motor Racing” and delighted that you chose to share your support for the team with our latest cap.
With Grove a one-hour drive from Silverstone, the British Grand Prix is always an extra special venue, which is why we’ve decided to celebrate our heritage for 2024.

Why Heritage?

At Williams Racing, we are immensely proud of our history. Across nearly 50 years of Formula 1, we have been at the forefront of some of the finest F1 machinery in the world.
The British GP, in particular, holds some extremely fond memories.
Our very first victory came at Silverstone in 1979 when Clay Regazzoni stormed to a 24-second lead to take to the top step.
The following year, we won the British GP again, this time with Alan Jones, who became the first of seven Williams drivers to win the Drivers' Championship.
In that same 1980 season, led by Jones and Carlos Reutemann, we secured our maiden Constructors' Championship, scoring 120 points, well ahead of the grid.
Since then, we have triumphed at Silverstone eight times and we can’t wait to continue building our story, so here’s to more history in the making.

FAST FACTS

From 1991 to 1997, Williams Racing took an iconic seven consecutive pole positions at our home Grand Prix, with Nigel Mansell and Damon Hill storming five of those qualis.
Williams Racing have achieved 114 race victories and 312 podium finishes in Formula 1.
Keke Rosberg’s 1985 British GP pole lap of 1:05.591, at an average speed of more than 160 mph, stood as the fastest qualifying lap in F1 history for 17 years.
Nigel Mansell’s outstanding qualifying lap at the 1992 British Grand Prix, a 1:18.965, was the fastest ever lap around Silverstone at the time, putting him a whopping 1.9s clear of P2.
Williams Racing have won the British Grand Prix a total of 10 times, the third-most of any constructor.

Miami

With a Floridian racer in our ranks, the Miami Grand Prix always means more, and that’s just another reason why we’re excited our 2024 Race Collection incorporates a little local flavour.

Why Ice Cream?

In the ‘City where the heat is on’, there's a sweet escape that is found on almost every corner. That escape is ice cream.
In Miami, it’s more than just a desert, it’s a time-out from the sun's relentless embrace
This city is full of vibrant flavours and diverse cultures, so unsurprisingly, ice cream has become an art form. From the staples of classic vanilla to the allure of tropical fruits from the Caribbean, each scoop tells a story of Miami's melting pot.
From cones adorned with sprinkles and towering sundaes crowned with whipped cream. Then there are smooth gelatos, flavourful sorbets and the trusty ice pop. All of these different varieties are celebrated on the reverse of our 2024 Miami T-Shirt.
If you’re lucky enough to take a stroll down the Magic City’s bustling streets, you'll stumble upon countless hidden gems in seemingly endless colourful neighbourhoods. These ice cream parlours are more than just places to indulge; they're gathering spots where family and friends gather.

AUSTRALIA

Our Australia Collection celebrates the outstanding coffee culture in Melbourne, and here’s a little bit more about it…

Why Coffee Culture?

Melbourne's coffee culture is an essential part of the city's identity. At the heart of this culture is an impressive array of coffee options, having been a pioneer in the third-wave coffee movement.
One stroll around Melbourne's streets will reveal a plethora of cafés. These spots aren’t simply places to grab a quick cup, they each have their own unique atmosphere
Sharing a cup of coffee in Melbourne is more than a routine, it's a social event that brings people together. In essence, Melbourne's coffee culture is a lifestyle - a reflection of the city's creativity, diversity, and commitment to quality.
The dynamic nature of the coffee scene makes it an integral part of Melbourne's cultural fabric.
On the flip side, it could be said that coffee is the unofficial fuel of our sport. As we travel the globe to battle it out over 24 Grands Prix, building and racing some of the most complex machines ever created, coffee is an essential part of the process.
It’s fair to say coffee and Formula 1 go hand-in-hand, and there’s no better place to celebrate that than in Melbourne, Australia.
