Luke fights back to P11 at Sportsland Sugo
Luke produced a strong recovery drive at Sportsland Sugo, climbing 10 places in Round 8.

Luke Browning arrived at Sportsland Sugo for the final new circuit of his rookie campaign, having already experienced a busy weekend at Fuji Speedway where he secured a career-best P3 qualifying result.
The 3.7km circuit provided another unique challenge for Luke, with the single race format leaving just one opportunity to fight for championship points.
The weekend began with mixed fortunes. After two trips into the gravel during FP1, including contact with the barriers on the second occasion, Luke bounced back strongly in FP2 to set the third fastest time.
Qualifying saw Luke secure P21 on the grid for Sunday's 51 lap race, giving him plenty of ground to make up on race day.
From the back of the grid, Luke set about working his way through the field. A Safety Car deployment on lap 28 added another variable to the race, but he continued to make progress around Sugo before eventually crossing the line in P11.
By the chequered flag, Luke had gained 10 places from his starting position and came very close to the final championship point, finishing just 0.285 seconds behind P10.
While he narrowly missed out on points, the weekend still provided plenty of positives, with his FP2 pace and impressive recovery drive showcasing his potential around another new circuit.
The result leaves Luke P12 in the championship standings, with the Super Formula season now heading into a two-month break before returning to Fuji Speedway.
