Every Special Atlassian Williams F1 Team Livery Ever
From heritage throwbacks to fan-designed favourites, here’s every special Williams livery that has turned heads on the Formula 1 grid

When you think of Atlassian Williams F1 Team, the first colour that should come to your mind is blue. It’s been an ever-present part of our liveries since the 1980s, apart from a couple of seasons at the end of the millennium, of course.
But sometimes, we like to shake up our style and showcase a special design. From heritage throwbacks and fan-voted showstoppers to a few surprises along the way, here's a look back at every special Williams livery so far.
Home Race
Silverstone always brings something extra. In 2023, we marked our 800th Grand Prix with a Union Jack across the engine cover and a nod to founder Sir Frank Williams, alongside the original Frank Williams Racing Cars logo and 'Est. 1977'.
In 2024, we went even more personal with a design that featured all 1,000-plus members of the team as its centrepiece, celebrating the people behind the car rather than just the car itself.
For 2026, we returned to the Union Jack theme, with red, white and blue splashed across the nose cone and chassis.
It wasn’t just the FW48 getting a special livery in Silverstone this year, as Jade Jacquet’s F1 Academy machine was given an extra-special design, one that was Powered by Thought, thanks to Claude.
Stateside
Austin and Vegas have both had their moment. For the 2023 United States GP, we ran a Stars and Stripes engine cover on our way to a double points finish, alongside our first Kraken rear wing takeover.
Weeks later, for the inaugural 2023 Las Vegas GP, we unveiled a livery built entirely around Sin City, featuring the 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas' sign and neon lighting, with lettering inspired by the Neon Boneyard.

Gulf
Our partnership with Gulf has produced two of the most talked-about liveries in recent memory, both shaped entirely by fans. In 2023, we ran a fan vote across four concepts, Heritage, Contemporary, Visionary and Bolder than Bold, drawing 180,000 votes. Bolder than Bold won the final round by the narrowest of margins (51.9%) and raced at Singapore, Japan and Qatar.
For 2025, the 'Driven by Words' campaign asked fans to submit words they associated with the team and Gulf. Over 140,000 votes later, 493 fan-submitted words, topped by Legacy, Passion and Teamwork, were woven into the design that ran at Interlagos for the São Paulo GP.
Yellow returns
For the first time in 31 years, yellow returned to a Williams engine cover, a heritage colour last seen during the championship-winning years of the late '80s and early '90s. The 2024 Mexico City and São Paulo rounds saw the shade brought back through a new partner uplift on the FW46, a tribute to that golden heritage era.
The yellow stuck around for Las Vegas 2024 too, this time in partnership with Keeper, which took over the engine cover as part of its growing relationship with the team.
Atlassian's 2002 throwback
For the 2025 United States GP, we marked Atlassian's founding year with a full throwback to our 2002 livery, the blue-and-white look raced by Ralf Schumacher and Juan Pablo Montoya. Montoya himself was on hand for the reveal alongside Carlos Sainz, who would go on to score a Sprint podium later that weekend.

Rovo
Our 2025 Las Vegas livery went in a completely different direction. A striking all-black design with colourful accents was built to spotlight Rovo, the AI tool at the heart of Atlassian's System of Work. It marked the first all-black livery in team history, chosen deliberately to stand out under the Strip's lights while nodding to data, speed and computing power.
Testing, testing
At our 2025 launch, we couldn't yet reveal the full FW47 livery. A shakedown design ran at Silverstone first, before the definitive look was saved for a joint unveiling with the rest of the grid at F1 75 Live at London's O2, marking Formula 1's 75th anniversary.
For 2026, we let fans choose from scratch. Six designs went to a global vote, and after more than 50,000 votes were cast from 162 countries, 'Flow State' emerged as the winner. Its swirling white accents on Williams blue were chosen to reflect the "state of pure mental focus" drivers rely on to extract every millisecond of performance from the all-new FW48.
Honourable Mentions
Keep Your Distance! The 2001 season hadn't quite started the way we would have wanted, and quite frankly, the team were tired of being rear-ended by other drivers on track. Ralf Schumacher had been hit by Rubens Barrichello's Ferrari in both Malaysia and Brazil, while Juan Pablo Montoya was infamously taken out of the lead in Brazil by Jos Verstappen's Arrows. Something needed to be done, and the team decided to issue a warning: Keep your distance! The message debuted in Free Practice at the San Marino Grand Prix in Imola, and it seemed the drivers got the message as Ralf jumped into the lead at the start and never looked back, taking the chequered flag in P1.
Kraken Rear Wing Takeovers: Austin 2023, Austin 2024, Singapore 2025. What started as a vote in 2023 became a full fan-first institution. In 2024, six fan-designed Cosmos Collection characters took over the rear wing on Alex Albon's 100th Formula 1 Grand Prix. By 2025, it had evolved into a memecoin showdown, with PENGU winning out over Doge and Bonk to land Pudgy Penguin on the rear wing in Singapore.
