A lot has changed since F1 last raced in Madrid in 1981 – but the power of the team is one thing that’s remained the same. Then, like now, Williams was passionate about how we could come together, innovate faster, and use technology to create something really extraordinary. And with every season that goes on, that extraordinary learning builds up – giving us a richer resource to draw on for the future.
Today, Atlassian, Williams' Official Title and Technology Partner, is helping us to make that knowledge and information searchable and connected. The insights, innovations, and information we learnt in previous seasons are now connected using Atlassian's Teamwork Graph. That knowledge base is an essential part of our mission to get back to the front of the grid and return to our winning ways.
Created in collaboration with Atlassian, our Madrid livery design celebrates those years of context. It draws on the vibrant white, green, and navy of the FW07C: our 1981 challenger, a Constructors’ Championship winner, and the last Williams car to race in Madrid 45 years ago.
