Rosberg won the Monaco GP.
During the 1983 season Williams had started testing the Honda turbo engine in the FW09.
This was the first Formula 1 car driven by Ayrton Senna and interestingly, also driven by Princess Anne, both of whom tested the car at Donnington racetrack.
