Sparkles: The Story So Far

Every great story starts with a little bit of magic – and in this case, that magic came from Thea.

It all began when we invited fans to send in their dilemmas for our brand-new series, Call Carbono. Among the first to take part was Thea, a young fan from the UK with one very important question:

Should her unicorn be called Sparkles or Sprinkles?

Carbono loved it. And so did everyone watching. Thea’s sweetness stole the show – and sparked something even bigger. During the chat, she asked our duo if they could wear the unicorn on their helmet. Carlos didn’t hesitate: “If you send it in, I promise I will wear a unicorn sticker.”

True to his word, Carlos carried Sparkles on his helmet for the very next race – the 2025 Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

What followed truly was fairytale stuff. Carlos qualified on the front row, then stormed to P3 on race day, claiming his first podium for Atlassian Williams Racing and the team’s first full-race podium since 2017.

Sparkles had officially entered Formula 1 folklore.

And the best part? Carlos’ manager, Carlos Onoros, found a spare sticker and placed it on the back of the P3 trophy – making Sparkles forever part of that moment in history.

Ahead of the next race in Singapore, fans were calling for one thing – Sparkles merch.

So, we teamed up with Thea herself to make it happen. Together, we created a special run of Sparkles tees for adults and kids, with a portion of every sale going directly to Thea and her family. The reaction was unbelievable, and the collection sold out faster than Sparkles herself.

Then, as if powered by Sparkles once again, Carlos delivered another memorable drive – charging from P18 to P10 under the lights to grab our first point in Singapore since 2017.

From Call Carbono to podiums and points, Sparkles has not only galloped her way into hearts across the F1 world, but also into our history books.
