Zandvoort secures an extended deal with Formula 1

Formula 1 has today confirmed that the Dutch Grand Prix will extend its stay on the calendar until 2025.
After a 36-year absence, the event returned to the sport in 2021 with an initial three-race agreement, which has now been lengthened to include further visits in 2024 and 2025.
Zandvoort has quickly become a fan-favourite destination for fans and drivers alike, with its unique beachside location and party atmosphere making it a standout weekend.
The circuit is old-school in nature, with plenty of undulation as drivers twist their way around the dunes, and that’s even before we mention the two banked turns that Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant will be sweeping around next season.
F1’s popularity in the Netherlands has never been higher, with two-time champion Max Verstappen very much the home hero.
But Max will be sharing the orange-tinted spotlight alongside his compatriot Nyck de Vries next season, who of course made his debut with a super-sub performance in place of Alex Albon in Monza.

“The Dutch Grand Prix has quickly established itself on the calendar as a fan favourite, bringing incredible energy and a great fan experience every year,” shared Stefano Domenicali, President & CEO of Formula 1.
“The sold-out events in the last two years have raised the bar in terms of organisation, entertainment, and sustainability, and we are delighted to extend our relationship with them.
“There is huge demand to host F1 races so it is testament to what the team have done to cement Zandvoort on the calendar until 2025, and we can’t wait to return next summer.”
We’re looking forward to three more visits to the Dutch coastline and hope that, for Alex’s sake, the pigeons on the apex of Turn 7 have taken flight.
