Behind the Badge: Mexico City
What better way to celebrate Mexico City – one of the most exciting and well-attended races on the Formula 1 calendar – than with a badge full of colour, culture, and tradition?
Inspired by Día de los Muertos, this bold and festive design captures the spirit of both the holiday and the race weekend.
At the centre of the badge sits a Carnival of the Dead float, decorated with bright orange marigolds – flowers traditionally used to guide the spirits of loved ones back to the altar during Día de Muertos.
A painted skull wearing a poncho and sombrero draws focus to the middle, surrounded by classic Mexican symbols like cacti and agave plants, adding a fun and lively touch to the scene.
