Round 14 brings with it a very different challenge to that of last week, and with Carlos starting from P13 and Alex in P20, The Strategist has taken a long, hard look at the grid and laid down their picks for Hungary.
Will you follow their calls, or take a gamble of your own?

You can change your answers right up until the formation lap on Pit Wall Predictions, presented by Gulf

Q1: On which lap will we make our first stop?

Lap 11–20. Last year’s first stop came as early as Lap 6, but The Strategist is expecting a slightly longer opening stint this time.

Q2: Which driver will pit first?

Carlos Sainz. Alex was first in last year, but with grid positions set, The Strategist is saying Carlos will be the earlier caller.

Q3: When the first Williams driver pits, what position will they pit from?

P11–P15. Carlos’ P13 grid spot puts him right in this window for an early stop.

Q4: What will the gap be to the car ahead when we make our first stop?

0.1–2.5 secs. Expecting a tightly packed midfield, The Strategist is predicting a small gap between cars when our stop is made.

Q5: When will our fastest lap of the race be recorded?

Lap 57–Finish. We set our fastest lap on Lap 60 last year – and The Strategist sees history repeating itself.

Q6: How many Virtual Safety Car periods will there be?

Zero. VSCs haven’t been a regular feature in Hungary recently, and the guru is keeping things calm on this one.

Q7: How many full Safety Car periods will there be?

Zero. It’s been since 2021 that Hungary saw a full Safety Car, and The Strategist doesn’t see that changing.

Q8: Where will the leading Williams driver finish the race?

P11–P15. It’s going to be a fight through the field, and The Strategist is predicting we’ll just short of the points, but is hoping to be proven wrong.
