Behind the Badge: São Paulo
There’s plenty to spot in this year’s Brazil badge, with each element paying tribute to Brazilian culture and the city of São Paulo.
A feathered Carnival mask and a samba drum bring two instantly recognisable symbols of Brazilian celebration to the design, while a toucan adds a splash of the country’s wildlife. The Brazilian flag flies proudly alongside them.
We’ve also included one of São Paulo’s most famous landmarks, the Catedral da Sé, with its twin spires rising above the city centre, and a stack of tyres that ties the design back to the race.
