Strategy and teamwork were on full display in Monte Carlo – here are the numbers behind our result

We leave Monaco with three more points added to the tally – and it says a lot about our progress that a P9 and P10 in the principality feels a touch disappointing.
That said, these three points could be crucial come the end of the year. Here's some of the numbers and statistics behind our result in Monaco at the weekend.

2005

It may seem hard to believe, but Sunday’s P9 and P10 were actually our first double points in the principality for two decades. Nick Heidfeld’s P2 and Mark Webber’s P3 in 2005 were the last time both Williams machines secured points finishes.

54

We’ve now secured 54 points during the 2025 Formula 1 season, but what’s significant about that? Well, if you take our combined points tally from all three previous seasons of the modern ground effect era (2022, 2023, 2024), you’ll get to 53 points. Eight races in and we’re still getting started.

100%

Carlos’ P10 on Sunday kept his 100% points-scoring record in Monaco intact – 10 race starts, 10 points finishes. Vamos!

2016

We’ve now secured double points in four consecutive races. It’s the first time we’ve achieved this feat since 2016, when Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa went on a five-race points-scoring streak at the start of that season.

21

That’s the number of laps between our first mandatory pit stop (Lap 32) with Alex and our last (Lap 53) with Carlos. Teamwork.

16

It’s been 16 years since we last scored exactly three points in Monaco – a feat last matched by Nico Rosberg’s P6 in 2009, under the old points system.

1

After another strong round in Monaco, including his fifth podium finish in five rounds, Luke Browning has taken the lead in the Formula 2 Drivers’ Championship standings. He has 70 points to his name heading into Round 6 this weekend in Barcelona.
