Learn more about all 10 Williams Racing drivers ahead of the 2024 season

As fans of Williams Racing, you're undoubtedly familiar with our rich past in Formula 1 and the legendary names that fill our history.
Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant are our most recent entries, but there are more than these two drivers racing in Williams Racing colours this year.
From seasoned racers to rising stars, each of our lineup brings a unique story to the team — here is the class of 2024.

Alex Albon

Nationality: Thai
Age: 27
Series: Formula 1
Alex's journey in Formula 1 has been nothing short of a rollercoaster of podium-achieving highs and uncertain lows.
After a standout junior career, including success in the GP3 Series and F2, Albon made his F1 debut in 2019.
His raw talent and adaptability quickly turned heads, earning him a mid-season promotion to join a front-running team.
Unfortunately, by the end of 2020, Alex found himself without an F1 seat and his future in doubt.
Undeterred, he spent 2021 as a test and reserve driver, honing his skills and staying race-ready.
His perseverance paid off when Williams Racing welcomed him back to the F1 grid in 2022, and his return has been a revelation.
Alex's blend of knowledge and resilience has been invaluable, helping guide the team through a rebuilding phase with regular top-10 qualifying and race results.
Now in his third season at Grove, Albono is going from strength to strength as our most experienced driver, with his racing reputation earning him one of the top spots in Autosport's Top 50 list of 2023.

Logan Sargeant

Nationality: American
Age: 23
Series: Formula 1
Logan, our young American prodigy, wrote a new chapter for F1 after bursting onto the scene in 2023.
With the recent explosion of stateside Formula 1 interest, our Floridian became the first driver racing under the stars and stripes to join a Grand Prix weekend since 2015, the first in a full-time seat since 2007, and the first American points scorer since 1993.
That's not a bad way to introduce yourself as a rookie driver, but we have to say we weren't surprised by Sarge's remarkable achievements.
Logan made waves in junior formulae, showcasing his speed and consistency, not to mention winning the 2015 World KFJ karting championship before stepping into cars.
His performances in Formula 3, where he narrowly missed the championship title in 2020, signalled his potential, and Logan joined Williams Racing's Driver Academy in 2021.
Immediately becoming the highest-placed Formula 2 rookie in his debut season led to a rapid Formula 1 graduation for a year of learning and growth in 2023.
Sarge carries the hopes of a nation eager for an American star in the sport after his extraordinary journey from Florida's karting tracks to the pinnacle of motorsport.

Zak O'Sullivan

Nationality: British
Age: 19
Series: Formula 2
Hailing from the UK, Zak O'Sullivan is one of two Williams Racing names to watch this year in the second tier, Formula 2.
Narrowly missing out on the British F4 Championship in 2020, Zak demonstrated his racing prowess early in his career.
He continued his winning ways in 2021 after moving up to GB3 and clinched the title in his rookie season by a staggering 154 points over his closest rival.
Zak's subsequent two seasons on F1's support bill in Formula 3 came with the backing of the Williams Racing Driver Academy, and he stormed to podiums and pole positions in 2022 before taking four race wins and the vice-champion title in 2023.
As he progresses through the ranks, his potential to reach Formula 1 is undeniable as he looks to add another exciting chapter to Britain's rich racing heritage.

Franco Colapinto

Nationality: Argentinian
Age: 20
Series: Formula 2
Franco Colapinto joined our Academy a little over 12 months ago, and the Argentine sensation soon showed why we're backing him for great things after a stellar 2023.
His journey in motorsport began with karting success in South America, quickly establishing him as a rising star from a nation with a rich racing history.
Transitioning to European racing, Franco made an immediate impact, securing podiums and victories in multiple junior categories, including the 2019 Spanish F4 title.
His driving style and ability to adapt to different racing formats, including race-winning success in LMP2, had Franco as one to watch, and his incredible rookie 2022 F3 campaign had the spotlight shining brightly his way.
With a Williams Racing livery on his car in 2023, the boy from Buenos Aires took more wins and became a regular podium finisher, more than earning his graduation to F2 in 2024.

Luke Browning

Nationality: British
Age: 22
Series: Formula 3
Like many home talents, Luke Browning's journey began in the competitive world of British karting, where he honed his racecraft.
However, he didn't immediately step into open-wheel cars and raced Ginetta Juniors and saloon cars instead, bagging early wins, but open-cockpit racing soon followed.
A season-long championship battle with Zak went down to the wire in British F4's 2020 season, and Luke clinched the crown by just four points for his first — but not last — junior title.
Some European F4 racing came in 2021, but winning the 2022 GB3 championship earned him the Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year award, and he soon became part of the Williams Racing family.
Luke heads into 2024 off the back of a solid maiden F3 season capped by a dominating success at the iconic Macau Grand Prix that demonstrated his potential.

Jamie Chadwick

Nationality: British
Age: 25
Series: Indy NXT
Jamie Chadwick is our longest-serving driver, a five-time champion, and an all-around trailblazer breaking down barrier after barrier.
Like Luke, Jamie began with Ginetta Juniors, opposed to formula racing, but then advanced to British GT, taking the GT4 title in 2015.
Aided by picking up experience in single-seaters during a race-winning British F3 season and a title-winning MRF championship, Jamie became the dominant driver in her next venture, W Series.
She secured the title on home soil at Brands Hatch in 2019 and followed up with two dominant championships in 2021 and 2022, including a seven-race winning streak across two years.
Switching to American racing for 2023, Jamie progressed well in Indy NXT and will return to the series in 2024, as well as taking on the role of Williams Racing F1 Academy Adviser.

Lia Block

Nationality: American
Age: 17
Series: F1 Academy
Lia Block joined our ranks late last year as we prepare for a first season with a representative in the barrier-breaking F1 Academy.
2024 will be a year like no other for Lia, whose background doesn't come from racetracks and slick tyres — most of her racing experience is of the off-road variety.
Success in rallying, particularly at last year's American Rally Association, where she won her first championship, is the foundation we're sure will lead to a breakout season of road racing.
As F1 Academy enters its second season, the all-female series will support Formula 1 at seven rounds in 2024, with Lia and her 14 competitors tackling some of the world's most demanding circuits.

Alessandro Giusti

Nationality: French
Age: 17
Series: Formula Regional European Championship
Alessandro Giusti is our sole representative in the hotly-contested Formula Regional European Championship, a series filled with dozens of the world's best young talents.
After taking victories in his debut car-racing season in 2021, Alessandro stormed to the French F4 title in 2022 to earn a promotion to regional racing last year.
Even though he faced a grid of more experienced racers, the Frenchman's determination drove him to three victories.
Alessandro finished the second-top rookie to earn his spot in Williams Racing's Driver Academy.

Oleksandr Bondarev

Nationality: Ukrainian
Age: 14
Series: Karting
Already racing for over half his life, Oleksandr Bondarev is a 14-year-old driving sensation with multiple championships to his name.
Oleksandr has karted all around Europe to various degrees of success and has continued to advance through the categories with wins and storming drives following him wherever he races.
His 2024 season is well underway, and he became our first race winner of the year with multiple triumphs in WSK karting.

Sara Matsui

Nationality: Japanese
Age: 13
Series: Karting
One of the finalists in 2022's Girls on Track Rising Stars, Sara Matsui is our youngest Williams Racing Driver Academy member.
Despite her young age, the Japanese teenager has garnered attention thanks to her karting performances across top categories around the world.
Entering the OKJ karting class in 2024, Sara will race in the F1 Academy-supported Champions of the Future Academy as she continues her motorsport journey.
